This past Friday I attended my school’s prom. Who would of known some colleges to still be participating in an event like this? Because I didn’t. After high school, I thought it was a wrap to all my crazy prom experiences but I guess not.
My prom was located at one of the most beautiful places in New York City. It was held at the Tribeca Rooftop, a 15,00 square foot penthouse featuring panoramic views of the Hudson River, The Empire State Building, Soho, and downtown Manhattan. It was one of the most elegant, planned out events I’ve been to thus far.
The moment you enter the building there was a simulation of the red carpet event, where a photographer is waiting to put the spotlight on you. Students showed off their finest dress and shoes looking elegant from head to toe. All the red carpet looks were capture in the glimpse of a shot of everyone, except for my friends and I. Why??? Because we were fashionably late. The event started at 7pm and we didn’t arrive until 8:30pm because of wardrobe malfunctions and mismanagement of time. By the time we got there luckily we didn’t miss much except for the red carpet event and cocktails.
The moment we sat and took the time to finally relax and absorb it all in, I was stunned. The scenery was so beautiful and romantic I couldn’t stop clicking my camera for photos. I tried to take as much photos I can for you guys just to show you how amazing this event was.
There was a 5 course meal, my favorite part of any event. A starter or appetizer, the dinner or meal, and most of all “DESERT,” mmmm. Each portion was served by the most professional waiters and waitresses in the business. The food was so tasty and yummy I was acting like a little pig. The desert presentation was filled with every desert you can imagine. So many options to choose from with not a plate or stomach big enough to hold all my wants. Ice cream and toppings, cookies, cakes, pies, and more . If your a sucker for sweets, you would of loved it.
During the entire event there was dancing, dancing, and more dancing. Photo booths were set up to take the most silliest picture for your most memorable event. The best part yet,…. One floor up, we were on the rooftop of this 12 story building. The views of New York City was breath taking with the calm breeze from the Hudson River. The scenery was so relaxing and refreshing I could of literally stayed up there for the rest of the night and enjoyed myself. It was so much to take in, I tried my best to soak it all up.
Sooner than later, it was time to go. On the way home my friends were tired and exhausted, while I rode in the taxi reminiscing of what a good night I had.
I’ve been so anxious to show you guys how much fun I had and now it’s finally time. This might be one of my longest post because I have so many pictures. I tried to narrow it down by not showing a few pics, but guess what??? It’s still long. At this point, I don’t care because every picture your are about to see is worth the length.
